The ‘Water Systems and Services Innovation Centre‘ (WSSIC) based in the Nimbus Centre, CIT showcased their achievements and plans at Enterprise Ireland last Wednesday. CIT has a powerful water-resource combination which WSSIC is managing to great effect.

The event described Ireland’s water research capability to companies active in the water sector. Researchers from Irish Universities and ITs gave presentations on their Water/Waste Water research projects and gave companies and researchers with the opportunity to meet and discuss issues that could lead to industrially informed research topics and increase the potential for solving challenging problems. A company case study illustrated the journey from technology research to commercial product. Guest speakers included Irish Water, the EPA and the WRc (Swindon, UK).
