A competition was held this summer for a prize of €5,000 worth of research, with the winner being announced during the recent Industry Open Day. Congratulations to Ms. Susan Wall who was judged to have the best technically innovative idea with the best commercial opportunity from a large pool of competition entrants. Many other interesting innovative entries were received, all of which are contenders for future projects. Susan’s idea won €5,000 worth of research at the Nimbus centre. She is pictured here receiving the prize from Mr Michael Loftus, (Head of Science and Engineering faculty, CIT). We wish Susan all the best with her idea and look forward to assisting her technically in bringing it to success.
