The E2District project involves developing a district operation system and using people engagement strategy to manage smart energy usage for sustainable district heating & cooling systems – targeting energy savings of up to 30%.

The People Behaviour & Technology Integration group at Nimbus Centre is coordinating the project and providing the Behaviour Analytics Tool and District Operation Platform integrating developed software components. CIT is hosting the main project testbed. Dr. Martin Klepal is the E2District project coordinator.
