- Dr Samira Roshany-Yamchi is the Control Research Engineer of the TEC Centre at Nimbus Centre for Embedded Systems Research, based in Cork Institute of Technology, Ireland. Samira received her B.Sc. degree in Aerospace Engineering and M.Sc. degree in Flight Dynamics and Control from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Iran in 2005 and 2007, respectively. She started her PhD at Cork Institute of Technology in October 2008 and finished her doctoral study in June 2012. Following her close collaboration with Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, during her PhD, she published several joint papers and a book Chapter with control experts in Delft Control Centre. Dr. Roshany-Yamchi joined the NIMBUS centre in April 2012 as a part-time developer, where her responsibilities included designing predictive controller for building heating systems. In May 2013, she joined the STOS (Solar Thermal Optimization System) project and currently she is working as a Control Researcher on this project and some other control related projects.
